2024 was jam packed.
🧚♂️ Our orthopaedic service has been getting busier and busier. Our most common orthopaedic procedure is cruciate surgery and we are doing several complex surgeries on a weekly basis
🧚🏻 Our clinic is growing weekly with second opinions and new clients registering from a wide geographical area. Hurray!
🧚🏻 We invested in a new DR radiographic system and inta-oral radiography to deliver best-in-class imaging for our patients
🧚🏻 We were selected as a centre of excellence for clinical work by a leading pharmaceutical company; and so we are running some clinical trials for some new veterinary therapeutic drugs; which is very exciting
🧚🏻 We’re the first site in the WORLD to trial a new chemiluminescent analyser for in-house hormone analysis; by a Japanese company no less! More on that later. Hoping for a trip to Japan at some stage! (Hint hint Steph.. I know you’re reading this 😛) This means we have the best equipment in Ireland for progesterone and cortisol testing in dogs (and we could actually do equine blood if we wanted) with same day results
🧚🏻 We added laparoscopic services for keyhole spays
🧚🏻 We found some brilliant new team members who are fantastically dedicated professionals; who support us every day and keep everything running smoothly
🧚🏻 We’re doing some media work this week with some filming at the clinic. Biggest problem there is my hair. Hoping Joy my hairdresser in Edenderrt will squeeze me in today for an emergency blow dry. She’s busier than I’m always a challenging case..
On top of all that; on the home front; our oldest has turned into a teenager; our middle child continues to flourish; and the youngest continues to charm all he meets and generally gets away with murder.
During all that chaos and practice development; our clients continue to come; and support us every day. We are so grateful and fortunate to do what we do!
